Based in Cambridge, G3 Dogs is about helping you and helping your dogs. I searched the world for the fastest, most effective ways to train dogs & resolve dog behavioural problems. For many of my clients I have solved year-long issues in just a handful of training sessions.
I was once a dog owner who had a dog that didn’t listen to me (see below: The Tail) and today, I have proven myself to be one of the most successful dog trainers in the UK and one of the Top-15 obedience trainers in the World.

The Tail
I graduated from The London School of Economics & Political Science in Economics. I was probably meant to be a banker, financial analyst, or some sort of an accountant. At 26, I worked in the City of London and was Managing Director of a multi-million pound company. On 7 July 2005 (7/7), I was one of the passengers in a train during the London Underground bombings. I jumped 6,000 miles across the world to China where I didn’t know anyone, didn’t speak the language – and I got a puppy… or two 🙂
I started training dogs for a simple reason: my own dog didn’t listen to me.
‘Yellow’ was a rescue dog, literally being sold ‘off the street’ by traders for £7 as a young puppy in rural China. It wasn’t right to have fed this trade, but at the same time, seeing young puppies treated in that way was difficult to ignore.
She had every problem you could imagine. Pulled on the lead, didn’t come back when called (and sometimes would run off for what seemed like hours!), would chase after other dogs, roll in faeces, eat things off the floor, and would cry and fight so badly as she couldn’t be left alone… oh, and she was also aggressive to people and other dogs.
Learning from The Best
I got frustrated when things didn’t work – so I started looking to train dogs from the very best trainers in the world.
From 2006 I began travelling the world to learn how to train her. I spent all my time travelling to seminars, training and learning everything I could about dog training and it became my passion and my obsession even to this day.
I learnt from arguably the best dog trainers in the world – training with Multiple World Champions, National Champions, Obedience Competitors, trainers in England, Germany, Belgium and the USA (to name a few) as well as personally being certified by one of the top renowned dog trainers in the USA who has over 30 years experience instructing a variety of disciplines such as: Military (Department of Defence), Police, Search and Rescue and Pet dog trainers. I was one of the first students at Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers in 2009.
Helping Owners
It started when I saw an elderly lady pulled to the floor and dragged into the road by her young black Labrador. The dog was just trying to get to other dogs on the other side of the road… It was scary. It was dangerous. I wanted to help. I asked if I could and I began working with her and training her dog to walk nicely on the lead.
It wasn’t my job at the time, and I never thought of it as a career – but one thing lead to another and I started helping other owners, local rescue centres (SCAA) and soon enough G3 Dogs was founded: from the Chinese words ‘Guai gou gou’ 乖狗狗 meaning ‘Well-behaved Doggie’.
We even featured on National Television in China, national newspapers & magazines and had our own ‘Dog Training’ TV show! (My 5-minutes of fame!)
Working Dogs & Competition
With my first competition dog, I became UK National Champion and competed at two World Championships.
Coming back to England, I still had the passion for dogs and became absolutely obsessed with working dogs specifically German Shepherds & Belgian Malinois. I travelled across Europe meeting the most accomplished breeders and trainers in IGP (previously IPO/Schutzhund) and dedicated my years into pursuing the art of dog sports.
I have represented Great Britain at five World Championships, won two UK National Championships, Team Captain for GB and have helped coach competitors internationally.
Training Pet Dogs
Taking what I had learnt from training with the best in the world, and combining it with everything I knew about pet dog training; I refined a system for G3 Dogs that is: simple, fast and effective.
To this day, I have helped train the most common of pet dog problems to the most extreme behavioural issues. I have raised puppies to be delightful additions for families, and I have helped thousands of owners do the same.
I have trained others to be successful dog trainers, and I have been invited around the world to share my knowledge with other dog professionals.
Police Dogs & Beyond
I have supplied Police Departments in the UK, USA & Asia by selecting, raising and training prospects for Police & Service.
From my own kennel ‘Hohenburg‘ I am a proud breeder of four world-level competing dogs in Great Britain, multiple UK national level competitors and have had dogs placed with international competitors in Spain, Germany, Italy, Belgium & USA.
I have had the pleasure of serving some of the most prestigious people in the world, from British Consul-General to Royal Families, working with furry friends from over 16 countries, as well as serving dog owners in my local community.
I believe that the quality in my work is far more important than the quantity of my work, so every person and dog will always receive my undivided attention.
